The vast majority of my experiences within this chain of stores is usually very positive, but today I stepped into the store with my face still swollen from a dental procedure (my lovely dentists are right next door!) I was immediately flagged as "suspicious looking" and got followed around the store by this one tan, tall male employee. He started taking photos of me on an ipad in the isles I was in without asking if I wanted to be photographed, for basic consent! It made me extremely uncomfortable, never in any store have people done that kind of behavior.. Not in Safeway, thriftway, qfc, Fred Meyer, Haggens, no where. As a paying customer, this kind of behavior towards those of us who might be going through some medical trauma is absolutely unacceptable. I was tempted to get his name so I could report harassment to the manager. Is my face swollen? Yes! Am I moving more slowly after getting teeth ground down and caps placed after nitrous and various medications, absolutely! Does this give him an excuse to treat me like a criminal souly based upon my appearance? Absolutely NOT. I love this grocery store. It’s a little bit on the expensive side but everyone is extremely friendly and nice. I just spoke with Jonathan in the cheese section and he gave me a wonderful recommendation and gave me a lot of advice. All the products here are top-tier and the hot bar and soup bar and salad bar are great as well. And the alcohol section carries a lot of really good whiskeys which my husband enjoys

I am a Instacart shopper and was at checkout with alcohol, I showed them my id but then a crazy lady told me she needs to see the customer I am shopping for as well, Instacart already verifies the customer of age and it was my first time experiencing a cashier needs to know the customer age which I said to the crazy cashier and then she just goes off on me and how I was stupid and wrong about my information and then she was going to call the police on me because of it and she wasn’t going to check me out with my Instacart order. What a unprofessional behavior from these two cashiers and I hope justice will take place.

They have my ingredients! I love baking and finding the right ingredients for my seasonal festive sweet bread has been a challenge. Once I explored this market I was so happy I finally found a place where to get them. For this particle bread (rosca de reyes) I was looking for figs, which you can see as a topping 🧑‍🍳

Visited Metropolitan Market for the first time and noticed it had two separate entrances, but only one had working checkout stands. The other entrance had a register area that was blocked off. It left me wondering if it’ll be opened in the future. Inside, the store had a wide variety of selections, including fresh seafood and a hot food section with a self-serve buffet bar. The layout was clean and inviting, and there were employees available throughout the store, which made the experience smoother. Parking, however, was a bit chaotic. The plaza was packed due to several nearby businesses, and the busy intersection didn’t help. Despite the parking situation, the store itself was impressive and worth the stop. JY review
